Community Boating Center (CBC) has announced that it has been awarded Best “Cheap Way to Indulge Your Inner Dennis Conner” by Rhode Island Monthly magazine.

The recent Best of Rhode Island issue states: “The CBC may be best known as a nonprofit organization that supplies city kids with sailing lessons. But for incredibly reasonable membership fees ($195/year for individuals, $375/year for a family), adults can take advantage of the facilities, too, with full access to its thirty-boat fleet. The mission here is to make sailing accessible to all — young and old alike. There are also adult sailing lessons - and if you can navigate the construction around India Point Park, you’re well on your way to navigating the open seas.”

Community Boating Center (CBC) is a nonprofit, 501c3 recreational organization offering all members of the community an opportunity to sail. Located in India Point Park, CBC provides outreach, sailing lessons, and affordable access to the Providence waterfront. Gifts of cash or property to CBC may be treated as charitable donations for Federal Tax purposes.
